Hungry Caterpillar & My Little Pony

The top picture was our sons 1st birthday "cake" it is the Hungry Caterpillar..I got this idea off of Pinterest. As for the My Little  Pony cake (for our daughter's 3rd b-day) I found an image online and used Wilton's transfer idea to get the image on the cake. (place wax paper over image, using piping gel trace image and then place on top of iced cake and continue to decorate).

Monkey cupcakes

I was asked to decorate cupcakes for a baby shower that had a jungle/monkey theme. After searching Pinterest I found the following idea and went to work baking and creating these cute little creatures! :) I used a simple butter-cream frosting and piped the hair with a size 18 star tip. The mouth/nose is a wafer with gel frosting, the ears are a mini wafer cut in half (use serrated knife in a sawing motion) and the eyes are Wilton pre-packaged eyes!
