SPIDER-MAN!!!

My latest cake request was for a spider-man themed party. I was given a cake to imitate and we bounced around a few different options and this is what I came up with!

I did a "small" personal cake for the birthday boy (I used an "recycled" tuna can)
Also, here you can see the fondant spider-man faces in progress!

More of in process (marshmallow fondant with edible marker)

Cake frosted in butter cream and "crusting" so I can smooth it.

I used my leaf cookie cutter from my flower set to do the eyes!

Here is a video of the cake (I put fondant buildings with comic windows around the main cake)

Top view of cake finished!

Everything together! :)

Lego Lego Lego.. that is the theme of my latest creation. This cake was created for my nephews 5th birthday to go along with a Lego theme party that my sister-in-law planned. PS the party was a BLAST!

Cake after piping in stripes and dotting "blocks"
(what a lot of work. Next time fondant will be used b/c doing this with frosting was a pain in the tuckus!)
At this stage I had used my fondant letter stamps to imprint the words and had started filling in.

Cake after all the lettering was completed and border was put on.

Cake at the party!!

Happy Birthday Xander!!
